Keep that Weight Down
The bigger and heavier your vehicle is the more it will cost to transport it. Get rid of unnecessary weight. Run your gas to a ΒΌ of a tank. Take off your bike carrier or any other unnecessary appliances. Don't pack boxes in your car. It adds to the weight and therefore the cost of your move.
Keep Your Inspection ReportsAs good as your moving company may be, be sure to inspect your vehicle both at pickup and delivery for any damage. Be sure to document any damages in the inspection report so that you can be reimbursed for them.
Do Your Home Work on Your Carrier's Insurance CoverageWhether the move will be covered on your insurance or the carrier's insurance depends on the respective policies. Examine them closely.
